How to get there

The conference takes place in Lesvos — Greek Island in the NE Aegean Sea that NobelPrize Winner Odysseas Elytis likened to a plane-tree leaf — and will be held in Mytilene (Mytilini) which is the Capital of Lesvos. A map has been constructed specially for the conference by George Tataris, Doctoral Candidate, Cartography and Geo-information Laboratory, Dept. of Geography, University of the Aegean.

Venue for the conference will be the Lesvos Chamber of Commerce, 71 Kountourioti St., 81100 Mytilene, Lesvos (www.lesvos-chamber.com).

Conferees should arrive in Mytilene on Wednesday, 12 September, as registration is scheduled for Thursday, 7:30-8:30 A.M. and the conference proceedings start at 8:30 AM. All the registrants will have to make their own flight arrangements. We strongly recommend that they book their flights as soon as possible for economic reasons and in order to secure a seat in view of the fact that September is still considered high season. In the table below, we give the flight schedule for daily flights from Athens to Mytilene and back, for Olympic Air and Aegean Airlines.
